‘Strengthening the churches’ (Acts 15:41)
We seek to make connections with people and churches, and deploy workers or teams to come alongside and support individuals, groups and churches in their mission in rural areas.
Vision
Our vision is of individuals and teams coming alongside and strengthening Christians and churches across rural Britain.
Values
We believe that the biblical pattern for strengthening churches for ministry and mission combines ‘ministry on the spot’ with ‘ministry on the move’.
Action
We build, deploy and seek to catalyse teams to support rural churches and rural mission. We seek to make connections to help and encourage rural churches.
Projects
HOW we strengthen and resource rural mission
Rural Connections
We encourage and support rural Christians and churches already connected with Village Hope, and we seek to build new connections.
‘Pray at all times in the spirit’ (Ephesians 6:18)
Prayer is the essential foundation of our work and we place prayer at the heart of all we do. And we work to mobilise and resource prayer in and for rural Britain.
Vision
Our vision is of beacons of prayer lighting up all over rural Britain.
Values
We believe that, from the Upper Room on, prayer has been at the heart of every great move of God.
Action
We mobilise prayer by providing prayer resources, organising prayer events, creating prayer networks and building a praying community.
Projects
Some of the ways we mobilise and resource prayer
Prayer Partners
Village Hope prayer partners share and pray for each other’s needs and opportunities within a praying community.
Hope Countryside
A partnership working together to inform, mobilise and resource prayer for the rural communities and churches of our nation.
‘Understand the times, know what to do’ (1 Chronicles 12:32)
We develop and communicate understanding of rural life, faith, church and mission. We seek to promote engagement with the Bible in rural communities, and to apply biblical insights to rural issues.
Vision
Our vision is of an ‘observatory’ or a ‘watchtower’ gathering strategic intelligence, understanding the ‘times’ and the ‘word of God’ and communicating that understanding to support church and mission.
Values
We believe that, like the tribe of Issachar, God calls us to understand in order to know what to do.
Action
We develop understanding through study and research and communicate it through our publications, website, and conferences.
Projects
Some of the ways we promote understanding

[Scripture]
We seek opportunities to encourage, support and catalyse the development of resourcing centres of prayer, study, training and mission in rural areas, based both at churches and in other configurations.
Vision
Our vision is of centres of prayer, study, training and equipping springing up across rural Britain
Values
We believe that, from Jerusalem on, the Lord has used particular places to nurture and build up believers and to equip and send workers into His harvest.
Action
We aim to identify and build connections with existing rural ‘centres’ and identify new opportunities.
