Matthew 22:37-39, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” [And] “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”

Jesus’ summing up of the whole law and all that the prophets had spoken was to love God with our whole being and to love our neighbour as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39). Out of our love for God comes the desire to tell others about him, and part of loving others is sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with them. It’s not the desire we struggle with, but the telling.

God doesn’t expect us all to be evangelists, but He does expect us all to share our faith. So where do you start? It’s as though the Lord is saying, ‘Just give me one’. Who do we choose amongst our family, friends and colleagues? Ask God, ‘Just give me one’.

What are we asking you to do? PRAY! Once you know who you will pray for, commit yourself to praying for them every day. Ask God for natural opportunities to show and share your faith with them.

You being a Christian should be good news to you and good news to others! It should be evident, and not just because you say it is.
